Restorative Yoga - Mini Workshops

Join us the last Friday of each month and enjoy a relaxation special guaranteed to let you zone out of tension and zone into bliss. These sessions feature therapeutic postures using the support of props. The equipment allows for longer passive holds which will restore the nervous system and rejuvenate the whole self. As the postures are 'effortless' it means you actually harness energy without spending any energy, so it's sort of like getting free energy from the universe!

Each class concludes with a long guided Yoga Nidra relaxation, guaranteed to cultivate the peace within, leave you deeply refreshed, and help you tap into your happy space more easily.

 

 

Restorative Yoga is ideal for yoga if you:

Prenatal Yoga

Life Source is a prenatal yoga specialist centre, with our classes featuring experienced specialist teachers. Yoga is highly recommended during pregnancy although if you are new to yoga, we advise you begin after the first trimester. We offer specialised classes with postures that are specially adapted to suit your needs during each stage of pregnancy. Our clients report that common complaints associated with pregnancy are often eased or disappear altogether as a result of practising yoga. The techniques learnt also prepare you for childbirth.
                
Prenatal yoga courses start each week. Once you are registered you can swap between classes as you wish. Prior booking is needed by calling 8904 0202

Meditation can be done anywhere and anytime, however with busy lives it can be hard to find the time and space it takes in the beginning to sit quietly and quite literally do nothing. 

Make your Monday lunch break your time to calm and slow your mind and build your concentration and focusing power for your day and the rest of the week. Use this hour to restore your overall health and discover the amazing benefits of meditation to combat short term stress and achieve long term health, including reduction in anxiety, reduces PMS, enhances the immune system, helps to normalize blood pressure, heightens concentration, focus and creativity and has even been proven to slow down the aging process.

Over the next 8 weeks, join our weekly meditation group and see for yourself how meditation can boost your effectiveness and can stop those little things from getting you down.

 

 

Classes include instruction in guided meditation techniques and time to meditate to calm your mind and ease turbulent emotions and lead you on your path to mental and physical well being. You'll start to carry it with you through the day and can better access the calm when you need. And no, you don't need to sit in the lotus pose for an hour.

Inspired by years of practice in teaching meditation courses, Julian Zanelli, focuses on giving individuals tools that can be applied to daily life to overcome stress and anxiety.

Retreat leader Richard

Dr Richard James Allen is one of Australia 's most advanced Yoga practitioners, with a deep and wide appreciation of many styles of Yoga (including Jivamukti, Ashtanga and Iyengar) and the philosophy that underlies them. A much in demand Yoga teacher, his many students enjoy his imagination and creativity, his sense of humor, his compassion and sensitivity, his dynamic yet flowing classes, his extraordinarily graceful practice, and his thoughtful elucidation of the philosophy that underlies the physical practices of Yoga. He is a recent mentor for Jivamukti's international teacher training program and is also a regular teacher at the Life Source Teacher Training.

Richard was awarded the Chancellor's Award at the University of Technology, Sydney , for a doctoral thesis that explores spiritual philosophy and shapeshifting creativity through the frame of the Jivamukti Yoga teachings. His asana practice is featured in the bestselling book, The Yoga Bible , and in the short films Breathe by Nina Williams and Rubberman Accepts The Nobel Prize by Karen Pearlman.
