ANGELA

An 'accidental yogi' -- Angela first started yoga as a favour for a friend who was undergoing his teacher training. Soon, she was impressed by the mental, physical and spiritual benefits of yoga, and started using yoga as a means to balance her hectic life in the corporate world. Since then, she has studied yoga in Singapore and Australia, before completing her teacher training with Christina Brown in Sydney. Angela teaches Hatha and dynamic flow classes, with a strong focus on aligment to guide students in and out of the poses safely. Her classes are infused with meditation and breathing practices, and most importantly laughter. Students find themselves finishing her class with toned and stretched muscles, a calm and relaxed mind, and a smile on their faces. For someone who discovered her innate ability and passion for yoga fairly late in life, Angela believes that the same could be true for others. "It's never too late to start."

CHRISTINA

Naturopath and yoga teacher Christina Brown lives and breathes the philosophy of a natural life. Christina has practiced yoga for more than 20 years and been teaching since 1996. She has many years of experience teaching women both during their pregnancies and after. Christina is director of the teacher training program at Life Source. She is a trained naturopath and the author of many books on yoga including the bestselling Yoga Bible: The Definitive Guide to Yoga Postures. Christina believes passionately in the power of yoga  as an aid to a good pregnancy and a brilliant help to a good birthing experience. Christina is adoring mother to Safia.
"If your yoga practice gives you a sense of expansion and joy,
then it's the right yoga for you."

EMMA

Emma has practiced yoga since 1998 focusing mainly on Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga. She was impressed straight away by the benefits to her body and general health. Over time she developed a deep appreciation for the self healing abilities of various yoga practices, not just physical but into the mental realm. Emma’s classes are a flowing hatha style and she loves offering more challenge to students who need it. A varied repertoire allows her to offer students a class strong enough to meet their needs and interesting enough to continue to develop their practice. Emma’s forte is in giving students a delightful relaxing close to their class through various guided and healing meditations.

GABBY

Since being introduced to yoga 15 years ago in Thailand the yogic path opened to Gabrielle. It was during pregnancy when yoga played an integral part in her preparations for the transformation – physically, mentally and spiritually, that she chose to share the practice with others.

Gabrielle teaches Sadhana hatha, Sadhana vinyasa, pre-natal and shamanic yoga. She values a daily practice and enjoys sharing her love of yoga while witnessing the transformation it brings to her students. She believes that through practice, focus and evolution we can create the opportunities in our lives that we desire.

JACKIE

Jackie has studied and actively practised yoga for over sixteen years. She lived in Tokyo for many years and it is there that she completed her ISHTA style Hatha yoga teacher training and began teaching. Jacqui went on to complete an additional yoga teacher training with the International Yoga Teachers Association.
Embracing the philosophies of yoga has brought her health and happiness in her life and helped her bring up two children, now teenagers. She encourages all her students to learn and develop their yoga at a pace suitable for them as individuals.
‘It gives me great pleasure to help others share the wonderful holistic health benefits yoga brings to me.’

LAURIE LEVINE

Laurie experienced her first Kundalini Yoga class in Los Angeles in 1986.  She loved that every class was different and had so many beautiful elements of sound, breath work, postures, meditation and relaxation. She felt so happy, grateful and light when she finished the first class after just 1 hour and has been a lover of Kundalini Yoga ever since. Laurie is the Author of  Spiritual Medicine and Blessings of Gratitude and was born with healing gifts. She is passionate about helping people clear blockages and feel empowered. One of the things she loves about Kundalini yoga is there is a kriya (set of postures and meditations) for every part of the body and for clearing emotions, feeling more connected to our soul and spirit, opening the chakras and strengthening the glands and body systems. Laurie went through her own remarkable healing journey through thyroid cancer and became a Kundalini Yoga teacher in Sydney in 2008 and as Laurie says " It is such a gift and a blessing to share this yoga with my students. It is wonderful to see people leave the class feeling such bliss and joy" . www.laurie levine.com

MARK

Mark has studied, practiced and loved yoga his whole life.  He was born into yoga.  His mother and uncle were both yoga teachers… Mark's goal is to take yoga back to it's original purpose, to assist people toward their highest potential. This passion has seen him immerse himself in the practice and study of all things spiritual and having been fortunate enough to be close to many great teachers understood that the common thread of their teachings is to open the heart and live an authentic life.

Mark's knowledge and  experience of both the technical and spiritual aspects of yoga has led him to the top of his chosen field, yoga teacher education.  He is recognised as a “teacher of teachers” and the real deal, using his grounded, down-to-earth approach to take ancient knowledge to the everyday.  He teaches from the heart and these teachings are life-changing.  Mark takes yoga to a totally new level in the understanding and application  of yoga.

MARDI

Mardi is known throughout Sydney for her playful yoga classes—that still pack a wallop. More than anything though, it is her spontaneous and delightful personality, continually curious and infectiously warm, that inspires her students. Mardi directed a yoga centre for many years, she has often contributed to the media and has taught and organized countless retreats and workshops reaching thousands of people from all walks of life, from corporate executives to at-risk teenagers.

Michelle’s classes feel highly personal and her students appreciate the variety which keeps each class fresh. Michelle loves seeing her students develop a deeper understanding of their bodies.

NEERA

Neera was drawn to spirituality at an early age and studied astrology, Vipassana meditation and various Eastern teachings before discovering yoga at the age of 19.

Neera is recognised as a senior teacher (EYRT500) and Director of Teacher Training by Yoga Alliance, and is also a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She is also a published writer of poetry and film critique, and mother of two children born at home.

REMY

Remy has always had a passion for exploring edges. In 2002, after being part of the first expedition to row down the 5th longest river in the world - through Mongolia and Siberia - Remy began to move his passion for exploration towards the inner journey with his yoga practice. He completed a year of intensive yoga study in Asia with masters of diverse backgrounds. Remy teaches classes offering an appropriate practice for each individual within the group.

Remy loves the system of yoga because it is both flexible and nuanced; it offers an appropriate practice for everybody; it is open to change, welcoming new information about wellness and spirituality; and it invites people to discover what works for them.  Remy's specialities include power yoga, inversions and pranayama. He also brings a strong knowledge of anatomy and alignment to class.

RICHARD

From an international performing career that saw him dancing across the USA, Europe and Australia, Richard teaches an invigorating and dynamic combination of yoga. His classes feature creative sequencing, music and a deeply satisfying flow of breath and movement. In his classes you will stretch and strengthen your body, calm and centre your mind, and uplift your spirit. Richard's tremendous physical capabilities took him to be one of Australias most advanced practitioners in ashtanga yoga, and he now enjoys teaching Jivamukti yoga. Richard is a keen student of spiritual and Yogic texts. He recently completed a PhD in creative arts focusing on yogic spiritual ideas in relation to art practice, culminating in the release of his latest publication, the book The Kamikaze Mind.
